Industry Challenge

The amount of personal data readily available online has grown to the point where it is believed that the Data Protection Act is no longer sufficient in protecting us from the use of this data. The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into effect in May 2018, is designed to protect individuals from decisions based solely on automated processing and ensures the user has the right to receive an explanation by a “natural” person of why a decision was made.
