Looking short term, Charlie will take us on a whistle stop tour of what’s happening commercially in key sectors and verticals whilst reviewing practical use cases and presenting a view on the the real state of AI in the UK and around the world.
We’ll review the breakthroughs in processing power, open source algorithms, and the access to unprecedented amounts of data that create this natural flywheel of innovation.
He’ll then be joined by guests to discuss the longer term view of the impact of AI on society – its benefits as well as the open questions that still need to be addressed. Some experts believe AGI and a super intelligence could be as close as 12 years away while others predict it will take hundreds of years and yet others claim it’s not possible.
