Dr Elena Antonova is a Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, and Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Adaptive Systems Research Group and Royal Society Wolfson Biocomputation Research Laboratory Centre for Computer Science and Informatics Research at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Her main research interest is the neuroscience of mindfulness using psychophysiology and neuroimaging methods. Her research attracted media attention and featured on BBC1 and BBC4. Her contribution to contemplative neuroscience has been recognized by the Mind and Life Institute with an election as the Mind & Life Research Fellow in November 2017. Dr Antonova has a strong interest in the Philosophy of Mind, with the application to the foundational issues in neuroscience and psychiatry, and more recently in risk mitigation and ethics in AI robotics.
