Overview

Self Driving Vehicles are not just the future but the ‘now’. The Genie cannot be returned to its bottle. Why would anyone refuse three wishes, anyway?

In this panel, we will be addressing the advantages to automated transportation. Not simply in terms of technological, environmental or economic progress. But in societal utility; building opportunity, for all.

In the interests of balance, fairness and even, dare one say a ‘third way’? We integrate concerns and challenges presented by the very notion of the self-driving vehicle.

The science and tech on the table here are state of the art. But the messages apply to all age ranges, abilities and socio-economic groups. So we will cover common logical barriers to developments, whilst hoping to drive through an acceleration of positive insight and possibility.

We are all on a journey in this new era of automation. Society can escape the gridlock of limitation. Defining differentiated destinations. We just have to plan routes carefully and avoid a breakdown.
