Cognitive Neuroscientist, UCL and NCH
Fintan Nagle is a cognitive neuroscientist at UCL and NCH. His research focusses on the human attention system and how attention affects online communication, debate, and discourse. He also uses machine learning to evaluate driver attention when switching to and from automated driving. Fintan trained as a software engineer and computational biologist before moving into cognitive neuroscience, completing a PhD on dynamic form in visual search. He also advises several startups working in online privacy, education, and health, and leads the Lyra project, a nonprofit supporting open online conversation.
