About Captain Robert

Captain Smith recently retired after 30 years as a US Navy SEAL. His most recent assignments include Senior Military Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy and Special Advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence where he assisted with project Maven. Captain Smith graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1989 and completed the arduous Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUDS) training to become a Navy SEAL. Throughout his career he served on multiple SEAL Teams deploying to Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Captain Smith received the Navy’s Admiral Stockdale award for excellence in leadership as the Commanding Officer of SEAL Team TWO with multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He holds an MBA from Baker University, a Master in Military Arts and Science from the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies, and BS in History from the US Naval Academy.
