About Caroline

Caroline Daniel is a partner in the London office advising clients on strategic communications, crisis, financial advisory and ongoing reputation building. As part of the TMT practice, she leads on issues relating to artificial intelligence – from narrative work to data and ethics.

She joined Brunswick in 2016 from the Financial Times where she held a number of senior editorial positions including Editor of the Weekend FT from 2010-2016, one of the most senior editorial and managerial roles in the newspaper. Prior to that she was Editor of the FT’s opinion page during the financial crisis, commissioning leading thinkers, executives and politicians around the world. She spent 6 years in America, including as White House correspondent, and joined the FT in 1999 as the Technology correspondent.

Caroline has chaired major technology events and interviewed leading technology figures around the world, including Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen and Ray Kurzweil. She holds a number of senior public service positions including, UK member of the distinguished Trilateral Commission, a global non-governmental discussion group of leading executives and politicians; member of the Royal Society’s Science and Technology Policy Advisory Committee; Board member for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction, Britain’s leading prize for non-fiction book of the year; and board member for the Trampery, a social enterprise focused on start-ups.
