Chantal Sharif Beck is a Partner in McKinsey’s Energy Practice based in London. During her time with McKinsey, she completed projects in strategy and planning, organisation, and marketing topics in energy, basic materials and telecommunications industries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Chantal convenes McKinsey’s events associated with Women in Power and Natural Resources. Chantal is the leader of the energy practice in the UK and leads the energy transition and decarbonization service line globally.
Recent experience includes leading our work on energy transition and decarbonization, supporting private sector oil and gas companies in driving 20- 30% out of their cost structure, and application of new technologies to core operating models to support digital transformations.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Chantal was an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and Boston for two years where she served technology clients on a broad range of financing and advisory assignments.
Chantal received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics. She studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science as part of her B.A. Chantal is a native English speaker with a working knowledge of French and Spanish.
