About Claire

Claire Craig: Claire has experience in providing science advice for decision-making across government from climate change and genetic engineering to civil emergencies. She led Foresight, the UK’s science-based futures programme and, while at the Royal Society, worked on the reports on AI and on the governance of data, which informed the creation of the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation and the Ada Lovelace Institute. She is now the Provost of The Queen’s College Oxford and a member of the AI Council. “How does government listen to scientists?” is published by Palgrave.
