Dr. Jordan Shlain is the founder of Private Medical, a multi-family office for health and medicine, that the New York Times recently called the most connected medical group in the United States. Their 26 physicians manage over 650 multi-generation families with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and New York. In addition, Dr. Shlain is a tech entrepreneur (his AI digital health company, Healthloop, was acquired in November 2018), he helped craft portions of the Affordable Care Act from a primary care perspective, and was appointed by then-Mayor Gavin Newsom as a health commissioner in San Francisco. Dr. Shlain is also the chairman of EatReal, a non-profit that is transforming the food supply chain with a good housekeeping seal for healthy food for food service establishments; specifically to decrease the disease burden on our children in schools.
Dr. Shlain received his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School and completed his undergraduate work at University of California at Berkeley in anatomy and physiology with a minor in philosophy.
