About Dr. Karen
Karen Elliott is a Lecturer in Enterprise and Innovation including Organizational Change and cyber security at Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) and holds both a Masters and PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Durham University. She is Director for the Groningen Double Degree Programme whilst leading Programme and Project Management (MBA, eBIS and International Business) and Research Methods (MSc in Management) modules. Prior to joining Newcastle and Durham Universities, she worked as a project, change, and programme manager (public, private, and voluntary sectors). She has publications in international journals including IEEE: Security and Privacy, the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of Organisational Change and the European Management Review whilst on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (JEEE) and reviewing for several journals. She has secured over £1m in funding from the EPSRC for the study “FinTrust: Trust Engineering for the Financial Industry”. Her research interests range from project management, organisational behaviour and change, fsQCA to FinTech and trust.
