Evan Selinger is a Professor of Philosophy at Rochester Institute of Technology where tech-ethics (including AI) and privacy are his areas of expertise. A widely published author, Evan’s latest book Re-Engineering Humanity (co-authored with Brett Frischmann) was selected as one of The Guardian’s best books of 2018. His public scholarship includes opinion pieces in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Wired, Slate, and many other magazines and newspapers. To enhance public policy, Evan works with legal and advocacy organizations like the ACLU, NGOs like the Institute for Defense Analysis and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development, and think tanks like the Future of Privacy Forum. He also advises companies, which over the years have included giants like Microsoft, Facebook, and IKEA.
