Guy joined MyBnk in 2013 as Expansion Director, becoming CEO in 2016. He has overseen development of MyBnk’s work with young adults in vulnerable circumstances – which now accounts for half of the charities operations. This includes the integration and expansion of the award-winning youth homelessness project, The Money House. In addition interventions also start much earlier, from age 7, working with the support of KickStart Money to teach positive financial habits. Guy is passionate that MyBnk is at the forefront of making a positive difference to young people directly and that work is leveraged to achieve systemic change. He leads on policy and advocacy, is a member of the Money Advice Service’s Financial Capability Board for the UK and the Consumer Advisory Board of UK Finance. Guy graduated from the London School of Economics BSc. International Trade and Development. He worked for thirty years in equities as an investment strategist and in emerging markets. In September 2011 he was appointed interim CEO of Microloan Foundation, Malawi. Guy is passionate about cutting through the waffle, engaging with young people so they may take control of money, guard against the pit-falls and live enterprising lives.
