The purpose is to celebrate the economic contribution of disabled employees.
She chairs the Shaw Trust Power List power list UK which celebrates Britain’s 100 most influential persons with disability or impairment and is a member of the Minister’s Disability Confidence Business Leaders’ Group.
In 2007 she was awarded an OBE for services to disabled people.
