About Professor James

James Hayton, PhD, is J.Robert Beyster Fellow at Rutgers University’s Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing, a Senior fellow for the Institute for the Future of Work, and a former Associate Fellow of the Max Planck Institute for Economics in Jena. He previously served as Dean at the School of Management and Labor Relations, Rutgers University, and as Editor in Chief of the Journal Human Resource Management, from 2012-2018. His research focuses upon employee equity compensation, strategic human resource management, and the psychology of entrepreneurial behaviour.
