Virginia is a final year PhD student in Statistics supervised by Dr. Theodoros Damoulas. She is part of the Warwick Machine Learning group and a Visiting Researcher at the Alan Turing Institute. During her PhD, Virginia collaborated with a variety of organisations including CSIRO’s Data61 and Amazon. Virginia’s interests lie in the general areas of machine learning, Bayesian statistics and computational statistics. She is interested in developing scalable machine learning algorithms using Gaussian processes with a focus on multi-task learning. In addition, Virginia is particularly interested in causality and in developing causal decision making frameworks which can be used to analyse and assess the impact of policies.
