Will Page was the Chief Economist at Spotify (2012-19), previously held the same title at PRS for Music (2006-12) – where his global value of music copyright has become an essential tool for all music industry stakeholders. Will has been instrumental in helping industry stakeholders adapt to streaming and to let go of outdated concepts. His most recent collaboration has been with the University of Chicago, applying behavioural economics to Discover Weekly. In late 2019, Will stepped down from Spotify to start work on his first book ‘Tarzan Economics’, showing how other industries can learn from music’s ‘first to suffer first to recover’ journey through disruption.
