An expert on social systems, Gina Neff is a professor at the Oxford Internet Institute. She is author of the award-winning book Venture Labor about internet startups and the book Self-Tracking, which the New York Review of Books called the best book about the politics of pervasive computing. Her recent research focuses both on the challenges of implementation of AI in companies and on technology disruption in the construction industry. Her research and writing have appeared in Wired, Forbes, and The Atlantic. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Columbia University, where she remains an external faculty affiliate.
