Giorgio Patrini is Founder, CEO and Chief Scientist at Deeptrace, an Amsterdam-based cybersecurity startup building deep learning technology for monitoring and detecting fake videos. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, working on deep generative models; and earlier at CSIRO Data61 in Sydney, Australia, building privacy-preserving learning systems with homomorphic encryption. He holds a PhD in machine learning from the Australian National University. In 2012 he cofounded Waynaut, an Internet mobility startup acquired by lastminute.com in 2017.
