About Jeremy

Jeremy Wright is the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. He joined the Department in 2018 and recently launched the Online Harms White Paper, which sets out government’s plans to keep people safe online. Jeremy Wright has been influential in establishing the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation, a body set up to examine how data-driven technologies can be used for the maximum benefit of society, and strengthening the UK’s AI talent pipeline with new post-graduate courses at Masters, PhD and Fellowship level.
