Lord Jonathan Evans is the Chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life. The Committee advises the Prime Minister on ethical standards across the whole of public life in England and established the Seven Principles of Public Life, which outline the ethical conduct expected from holders of public office and providers of public services. The CSPL is now undertaking a review into artificial intelligence and public standards. Prior to chairing CSPL, Jonathan spent over 30 years working for the British Security Service, serving as Director General 2007 – 2013. He also served as a non-executive director of HSBC 2013-2019.
