Kate Devlin is Senior Lecturer in Social and Cultural Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London. Her research is in the fields of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), examining how society interacts with and reacts to technological change and what we can learn from that in forecasting new and emerging tech, particularly in terms of our relationships with machines. She is an expert in the field of intimacy and technology. Her book, “Turned On: Science, Sex and Robots” (Bloomsbury, 2018), has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim.
